Google has dominated the search engine business. Their simple and straightforward home page and reliable searches have changed them from an industry leader to a complete monopoly. Other search engines have each possessed a corner of the market, but Google has been the controlling force, idolized model, and financial empire. That's rapidly changing with the rise of Bing, MSN's foray into the search-engine business.

Once you're on the Bing home page, check out the Explore toolbar for the usual search engine options. Quickly search images, videos, products, news, maps, and travel. There is one interesting feature you won't find anywhere else. Hidden, like creamy chocolate morsels throughout your browser window are delicious links, the springboard to a fun-filled adventure traveling the web. To find these links, use your mouse to scan through the image. As you hover over the picture, square boxes filled with a catchy link description will appear. Updated daily, these hidden factoids are an excellent, engaging slice of the web and a conveniently easy way to get started surfing.
Bing's search crawling quality is nearly identical to those found on Google. However, Bing's colorful homepage and background are definitely an upgrade from Google's dry, boring, and overly simplistic home page.
*Images-
If you're looking for photos, illustrations or other images, Bing is the way to go. The key difference is that Bing's image search has better color, style and presentation than its renowned counterpart. To find photos and illustrations on Bing, make a beeline for their vibrant and tasteful homepage at Next, hit the "images" button on the left side of the Bing toolbar.
Start by typing your query into the white text field in the middle of the window. If you want a small number of very specific results, type a number of well-defined terms, the more precise the better. On the other hand, if you're just browsing, enter several broad words into the search box and click the orange magnifying glass.
Once an image catches your eye, their are several techniques for convenient browsing Bing's search results. Start by holding your mouse over the snapshot for an informational pop up display. You'll see an option that says "Show Similar Images." Use this tool to find similar images.
Another great feature, a major upgrade that separates Bing from Google, is the "Find More Sizes" option. Often, I find the ultimate image, but it's completely the wrong size. Bing and Google are the two top search engines currently on the web. Overall, I think Bing is the better one right now. However, I still use Google for most of my searching, with the exception of Bing Cashback. That's absolutely the best feature of Bing, and I use it for 90% of my online shopping.
