Trading Links - Is It Still A Strong Marketing Strategy - Business

Just about everybody in the Internet marketing field know that backlink building can definitely make or break their Internet business. And a few years back, trading links together with other websites was looked upon as being a great way to build backlinks. But with all the modifications that Google has made through the years, is this still considered a good advertising technique? If you want to find out if it is still a good practice, keep reading and you will find out the answer.

So basically a backlink is a website link that points from one website to a different site. The major search engines look at these inbound links as a sort of vote for your website. Which means that your website will rank higher in the search engines when you've got more backlinks to your web page. But one thing you ought to bear in mind is that every link that is created has a different benefit in the search engine eyes. Let's just say that you have a web link on a site that has a page rank of 3, if the link is on the home page of the website you will discover that it has more value than if the backlink is found on a sub page of that website. In order to determine the importance of the backlink you need to look at the page the link is on, rather than what the page rank of the home page is, even though the home page rank will probably still help a little.

Under typical circumstances you will find that when you trade backlinks the link pointing back to your Internet site is hardly ever on the home page. Because of this the value of this backlink is not as powerful as if it had been on the home page. In addition these link web pages can end up with 100s or even 1000s of other links directed to some other sites. And because Google looks at this as a poor web page there is a good probability that the link is not going to even count.

Google in addition gives more recognition to one way links than they give to sites that trade backlinks. For those of you that are unaware an one way backlink is actually when you don't have to link back to the site that has your link on it. In Google's eyes these one way links are generally as good as gold. Something else you will have to be careful of is trading links with Internet sites that Google doesn't like as this may hurt the reputation of your website. Which is not really what you are trying to do, but it can happen when you trade links.

To be honest there are benefits to trading links with good sites, if the Internet site is looked at as an authority website by Google and if the web page where your backlink is has good traffic on it. There is always the chance that Google will not even index a deep page which has loads of links on it, so if your backlink ends up there, it is useless. But that is exactly what most people do when they trade links. In short you can find just a few ways to make backlink trading work to your advantage and it can be extremely time intensive to complete them, however you can find other methods to develop one way links.

Frequency to be deprived of job opportunities abroad designer designer reflection of China - Business

National Theatre, "Bird's Nest" ... ... As more and more mainstream Chinese architecture by foreign designers play a major role, we ask: What is the designer's hands and feet bound in China? Huge difference in building technology at home and abroad "Technology is not a platform for domestic and foreign design and context on the" Tsinghua University "decoration" magazine editor in chief side Xiaofeng gave away the secret. "The advantage of foreign designers of new technologies and grasp new technology, this is the largest designer weaknesses. A design industry veteran, said, such as building energy efficiency technology and steel technology, dozens of foreign countries have begun years, but we are just groping in the last 10 years, and started. U.S. 70-year-old designer, said he was at university studying from steel, reinforced concrete structure would not know what it is. that we Nearly 60-year-old said the structure of the total work, I have not done a done a lifetime of high-rise steel structure, the country could not find to several buildings, is also designed the cover is not up, and if all the buildings are all steel imports from the United States This building became the astronomical cost of building a party simply can not afford. " "Iron rice bowl" suppress the creative designer Side Xiaofeng said that China too much design project, the design of large foreign firms to China almost all competition, the domestic design institutes seldom go out to participate in international competition in major international competition on to the successful less. Moreover, a large number of construction projects in China before the implementation of tender does not, let alone an international tender, a large number of Planning and Design Institute of the planned economy of the "administrative arrangements" can be under a lot of projects, the market can not survive very well Naturally, this can not design an incentive system. City planning is not comple te Side uses a metaphor Xiaofeng, China's overall design level position in the international market is like China in the Olympic Games track and field team in place, "even out a Liu Xiang, does not mean that the overall level has reached world class." Designed as an industrial system of products, systems developed, the product quality to be restricted. The reason why China's architectural design and there is a large gap between the world level, and the lack of overall urban planning in China has a lot. Most cities do not complete plan ideas, not to mention the advance planning proposals. Originality, the lack of content and brands "Design is not only pleasant to look outside, it must have its own original, unique things, not just imitate." Chief architect of the seventh Flower Expo, said Zhang Li, overseas time spent in the design of longer thinking depth of a broader, longer cycles, more demanding on the original. Meanwhile, just a good design is only one form is not enough to have enough support behind it something, such as functional, structural, long-term positioning. Domestic design is often more concerned about the appearance, not concerned about the content, or lack of experience in this concern. The works of foreign designers and brand personality, to meet people's desire to pursue the brand, which is that people are willing to pay the reasons for it. DEADLINE limit Designers In fact, in architectural design, the Chinese designers are not worse than foreign designers. Wang Xu said the architect, for a designer, the most happy than in sufficient time to complete their desired project, like a child playing with blocks, as usual, never tired. However, once give you a "DEADLINE", we should design results within a few days, that the natural state of precipitation is difficult to ensure the design quality. However, China's environment is, you have to adapt to the requirements of developers, the other demands fast, how fast you are. In this wa y, subject to market discipline, internal design team design period is shorter, it becomes increasingly speculative, focus only on short-term results. In addition, designers need to keep learning. For example, building a theater or hospital, designers must be more than theater, and hospital staff to better understand their function. Many additional tasks Overseas, the architect of the task is a program of construction plans to the general contractor to do, to do architectural design in China, there is no pre-professional planning firm to do market analysis, system not strong enough, preliminary research, analysis not place, the designer is no clear "mission statement." From concept to detailed construction plans must be by design agency to do. Designer in addition to doing design, there are many "unexpected" tasks to be done.

Understanding Bathroom Design - Design for the Elderly and Disabled - Home - Interior Design

Professional bathroom designers are masterful at merging both function and form to create breathtaking results. In this eight-part series which I call London Bathroom Design, I draw on my experience working with some of Londons top bathroom designers to explain this exciting field. This fourth article focuses on designing for older individuals.

Are you getting older and finding it harder to move around your home? I've worked a great deal with the elderly or disabled in London, and I love to help homeowners make their familiar spaces into wheelchair-accessible dream bathroom designs by decluttering, restyling and helping do away with any troublesome stairs. I love to see the residents' reactions to their new bathroom designs. Even if your budget isn't big, the payoff definitely can be when you re-envision your London bathroom from drab to fab - the wheelchair way. A fresh new bathroom design can be a critical component of the modern, disabled-friendly home.

Even a cosmopolitan, youth-orientated world city like London has more than its fair share of older individuals. With the UKs aging population, bathroom designers are being called on more than ever to create inspired bathrooms for the elderly or disabled. The perfect bathroom design for an elderly couple or individual will promote accessibility while also preserving a great sense of style. Many elderly people luxuriate in the morning by enjoying a relaxing bathing hour, a delicious cup of tea, and watching the morning soap operas on TV. For this purpose, the ideal bathroom design for the elderly could include sparkling glass toilets, chic lighted countertops, and high-gloss cabinets to house a kettle and home entertainment centre.

Aching joints can be a problem for many old age pensioners. Bathroom designers can choose to incorporate speciality baths that feature massage jets and low-rise tubs that are easy to access. In larger London residences, a bathside deck can be a great benefit allowing the elderly to sit down and gently lower themselves into the hot bathwater.

For the wheelchair-bound, a roomy roll-in shower often serves as a highly sought-after bathroom design feature. The convenience of a hand-held shower head together with on-wall in-shower seating allows for a great washroom experience that rivals the most luxurious London spas.

In the next article in my series Understanding Bathroom Design, Ill focus on London's latest trends in environmentally-friendly design.

Part & tooling designs...design for low cost parts, not tooling! - Business

MOLDING TECH TIPS 3-17-2007, Part & tooling designs...design for low cost parts, not tooling!

At MSINC, we see it EVERY DAY! It doesn't matter if you are a corporate automotive design engineer or a person starting a new business with a great invention; designing plastic parts to keep tooling costs down instead of designing your parts with a focus on keeping part costs down and quality is the "perfect storm" for your long term success!

Lets face the ugly truth. Launching new products into the marketplace requires a significant amount of "up front" capital money and everyone wants, and needs, to get the most return (bang) for their capital investment dollar (buck). Competition is fierce. Material and production costs always go up....not down. And even if you have a great product with little competition, you are still competing for consumer sales dollars that are not easy to get and keep for the long term.

Ok, now that we agree that every company launching a new plastic product will need to spend capital investment money on tooling before they can actually produce the parts in production quantities, and we agree that they want the best financial returns they can get back from the investments they have made, lets take the next step and assume they will actually want to stay in business if the returns are what they expected. Now we are coming to the real heart of what this article is all about...staying in business by designing your products to allow you to get the greatest financial returns on your business capital!

Now, plastic product design is a tough job. The "idea" designers design to get the products into CAD very simply and speedily without much of any consideration for anything else and we often make major changes to their part designs to make them feasible for injection molding. The "beginner" designers send us designs that can be injection molded without major changes, but will require minor changes for molding. The "average" designer sends us designs that are perfectly OK for injection molding, but are usually focused on simplicity of tooling instead of the production injection molding process itself. Finally, the "advanced" designer sends us part designs that are not only free of change requirements, but have a clear focus on robust part features, uniform wall thicknesses and many other things that will lend to lower priced parts overall.

Here are a couple of "financially irresponsible design thoughts".....and the problems with them...

"Tooling side actions like slides or cores are just too expensive"....WRONG! Too expensive compared to what? It is true that a "no action" mold will be cheaper than a mold with slides or lifters, BUT, in many cases adding features to your parts that require side actions can reduce the actual number of additional components needed in total product assemblies. Therefore, a financially responsible part design may require a slightly more expensive mold for itself, but completely eliminate the need for several additional molds!

"My part design doesn't require slides so why are you quoting it with slides?"....because it will not run consistently, efficiently and defect free without slides! I see this ALL THE TIME on parts that are very deep and/or have ribs and require long ejection strokes. If your part needs to be molded deeper than about 1"-1.5" deep on the core side of the mold, you may need slides on the outside of the part to release the part effectively during part ejection. You have to understand that lower part pricing depends on robust, problem free molding cycle times! Deep parts that want to stick in the core require ultra slow part ejection to keep ejector pins from pushing through or making un-sightly pin marks and sometimes slow ejection still isn't enough. In order to help those parts eject smoothly and freely without slow cycle times and quality problems, those parts may require simple short travel slides on the outside of the part. BEWARE OF THE MOLD MAKER that says "the part is going to shrink to the core and away from the outside anyway". Those guys obviously haven't had to dig stuck plastic out of deep ribs in a mold that is already mounted in a molding machine!

In summary, FORGET ABOUT THE TOOLING when you are designing a product. Design the product with uniform wall thickness throughout, nice draft angles throughout, pick plastic materials that are readily available in the market place, remove un-needed plastic wherever you can....EVEN IF IT WILL REQUIRE SIDE ACTIONS!!! Remember, you only have to purchase the tooling once, and the tooling should be designed for MAKING PARTS quickly and problem free for your best financial returns!
